BROKEN BOW...
(Political Satire)

holding jaw high, proud

as animated, crowd loud

awards unjustified

unmerited noises

to a hubristic - clay breathing

and his ill-fated choices

seen as a "miracle worker"

yet, if truly knowing self

he would consent

to being despised

grasping that his faith

he steadily compromised

walking in unfitting shoes

formidably disguised

raising face high

as enthusiastic crowd

rewards his presence

with unearned adulation

undeserved admiration

looked upon as a "miracle worker"

still, if knowing self

he would grieve when facing praise

for failing to unveil his face

conceding truth in countless ways

striding in garment disguised

beefed up with malefic ties

tangled in buffoonery

and caustic lies

if knowing self

would exult at being despised

set down as a "miracle worker"

rather than a lost fellow

in need of spirit rich, mellow

dressing in suit on credit

devoid of liable merit

just a broken violin bow

neither eager to grow

unwilling to sow

nor battle persistent foe

unwilling to search

for true cause to glow

executive mansion

puppet master

grandiose, cunning noggin,

leader of arrant disaster

The tragedy of the spiritually unreformed and uninstructed politician - the hovering moral and political dangerous predicament that his high position creates for society is so artfully expressed this serious yet satirical verse!

Another great poem! I know whom you had in mind when you crafted this one. I agree completely with you! Again, this work reveals wise, vigilant, and farsighted spiritual understanding. Beware of corrupt politicians!
