BANKRUPTIVE TERRAIN?

failing to speak of You

"Out of love only"

make the lips mute

not to worship You

"Born of love only"

make the mind sterile

the upshot - dreadfully dire

reprove, reprove

the unrepentant talker

the shameless liar

failing to rebuke

"Out of love only"

the uncontrite sinner -

wean the thoughts

from evolving

into a single-hearted winner

reprove, reprove

"lover" unpromising

cowardly mind, unheroic heart

(another chance missing)

to waste lapse of time

scribbling of unfamiliar matters

make the pen impotent

reprove, reprove

the naive scribbler

for others' time can be more potent

stay stone-still:

in cavernous, echoing nil

 - loss of innocence

profane, hardened heart

harebrained schemes

futile dreams

if failing to speak of You

toiling for You -

"Born of love only" - Lord

Alas!

all is defeat formidable

Still, soul in hearty sorrow

over chosen, fearsome horror

bear in mind - His Mercy indomitable

Grace all-healing - invincible

Dear Dr. Kardas, great wellspring of meaning and substance as by God's grace in all your works! Absolutely love the convincing technique! We spent some time admiring and being touched by the powerful images in your photo gallery with Our Lord and Holy Mother holding aborted babies, The Great Bl. John Paul II and we noticed the meaningful art piece that goes with this poem... the arid ground and dried out trees give an eerie feeling!

P.S. God bless your sister Carolyn for stressing so powerfully the voting responsibility - that voting for pro-abort candidate like OBAMA - is A MORTAL SIN!!! Those who vote for him CAN'T call themselves Catholic or Christians!

Each stanza contains ageless wisdom to reflect upon carefully. It is a brilliant summary of the main principles we need to cherish and live by, as for example the idea that without faith and its guiding principles, it is wiser to do nothing. Thank you for the powerful and extremely hopeful reminder that regardless of our sinfulness and wretchedness, we have always God's infinite Mercy. When we turn to God's Mercy with a contrite heart, we are healed, made strong and truly victorious in this life and the next! God bless!

Dr. Kardas, spoken from the inner heart! The first stanza tells it all I think. If we don't love the Lord with our WHOLE heart, soul, mind and spirit, then our expressions of love for Him with our voice, our actions, or our pens will be in vain! To know Him is to completely trust Him and to deeply feel Him, His presence in everything we see, even the things we don't see! Your deep seeded love for Our Lord, was truly spoken through this beautiful poem! A spirit of love, I did surely feel!!! Blessings to you and your family! Love, C.W.
