As a small soap maker, I wanted to find a way to encourage repeat orders without spamming customers with emails. I started slipping small thank-you cards and care tips inside each package, using my redesigned boxes from The Packaging World. Their Custom Shipping Boxes had enough space to fit inserts neatly, and my Custom Cosmetic Boxes helped the cards blend seamlessly with the branding.

Those little notes made a huge difference. Customers started tagging my brand and mentioning how personal it felt. Some even said the inserts convinced them to reorder. It’s a simple, inexpensive way to deepen connections with buyers—and it fits perfectly with small-business authenticity.

Has anyone else tried inserts or handwritten messages to boost loyalty? I’d love to know what types of extras your customers appreciate most.
